| ok, so this deserves a post. i have officially gotten my VERY FIRST 4.0 on something related to music theory..... my composition assignment. the first thing i have ever composed, it scared the pants off me, and i got a 4.0 i am in shock. AND... prof. newman wants me to get it performed!
so yeah, thats about it. mondays still suck... blah blah blah

| ok, so preseason was pretty cool..... fast forward. i didnt make the block, though. the top 16 chairs march, and im 17th. and i lost my challenge today by 3 points because i have bassoon tone on a saxophone. which is not good. so i went to buy a new mouthpiece, which ended up costing over $150.... and then realized that i had the exact same one at home, but the writing was so faded you cant read the "selmer c*" unless you look really really close. so i guess i just saved $150, i just wish i had realized it earlier.....
so yeah, im supremely irritated right now. my prof doesnt like my horn, so he has me playing a school horn right now, and the tone is great... sadly, it plays about 20 cents sharp all the time. and a few notes play so high they register a half step up.... which is really not very good..
whatever.... im sooooooo not happy right now.

| blech. its far too early. i asked for today off work about a month and a half ago. but since the people i work with are somewhat unreliable, i get to work this morning. because its the beginning of welcome week. the good thing is that i will only be there until about noon, because i have rehearsal at 1. yes, thats right, SMB starts up again today. im a "freshman" again, but thats only because i switched instruments.
its really weird to me that im going to march something other than a tuba. this is the seventh year i have been in a marching band of any sort, and the previous six were all tuba. weird. but then, maybe thats just me. whatever
time to get covered in syrup and powdered sugar and then sweat it all off. sounds like a spectacular day. | | |
| ok, so a lot happened last week.
sunday i worked until 1:30 and then left for ypsilanti to pick up my cousin, emily. then we drove to columbus. dinner at my moms with ben and the family and then mom and i went to see mat, jolly and lydia. she is absolutely precious. shes sooooo tiny. she was 7lbs 3oz when she was born, and i cant imagine that she was much larger than that when i held her.
monday i went to the dr. good thing is she prescribed me with a muscle relaxer and i probably do not have a disc problem. then we went to monicas and chased her 2 kids around all day long. monica, dan and their kids came over for dinner at moms that night, and it was delicious.
tuesday, emily and i went to starliner diner for breakfast. hooray for cuban french toast. then we went to monicas, but she was on her way to my house, so we went to moms. then we ran through the sprinker for a bit, and that was awesome. dinner at dads, with mat, jolly and the baby. then back to monicas where we played dress up with emily, who had to get head shots taken for a modeling agency. then bedtime
wednesday morning, we went to bens for a bit, fed him a donut for breakfast. then we went to aladdins for lunch with my mom. then emily and i drove back up to ypsi because she had a dr appt. i then sat and listened while emily got yelled at for being a bad diabetic, and not testing her blood sugar or taking insulin. i was pretty mad, because i asked her if she had her insulin at every meal. she said yes. the proper question is "did you take your insulin?" to which the answer was no. silly silly girl. went back to aunt pams and watched some movies.
thursday we woke up late, drank coffee with jess and aunt pam. sat around for a while and then went to the diag for the afternoon. crazy asshole boy decided he thought i was hot and tried to sit with his head on my chest. so i threatened him with a lit cigarette. not the best plan, but it got him to leave me alone for a bit. then we went to dinner at sam's house. (sam is emilys boyfriend) then we went back to emilys,and her friend helen was staying too. so we watched another movie. sam left, then emi, helen, jess and i sat outside and had girl talk until 2:30.
friday morning, we woke up late. mmmmm.... sleep. then we drove to ann arbor to pick up helen's boyfriend Kris and then drove back to ypsi to get my new tattoo. (a line design of a cross on my right shoulder) then we went back to ann arbor and sat at the diag for a while. around 6ish, emi walked me down to main street and i met uncle john at Gratzi, which is a fabulous italian restaurant. we sat outside and enjoyed dinner with a bottle of spectacular white wine. after dinner, we drove to john's house in brighton and i hung out with my cousins and aunt for a bit. then i left for east lansing.
i worked saturday and sunday. yay. simon says he misses me. yay. i work tonight at 6, which is weird, because i havent worked a swing shift in a long time. whatever. i'll get over it. money is money, and i am in great need right now.
i think thats about it.

| IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! so my sister in law had her baby last night. they named her Lydia Byrd Hach Bisaro (i know, its a mouthful) she was born around 10pm, was 19inches long, weighed a little over 7lbs. and supposedly she looks like my brother. but i have to leave for work now.... poooooooooo on work. i want to be in columbus with the new baby!!!!! | | |
